Baltimore Hydraulics, Inc. offers
two forms of cylinder service. The first is Cylinder Remanufacturing which
makes your old cylinders like new again and second is Custom
Cylinder Design and Manufacturing which entails designing and building a cylinder
specific to your needs. |
Cylinder Remanufacturing

|
| What's included: |
 | Honing - New
cylinders are honed to a specific finish which is determined by the type of seal used.
Different seals require different finishes in order to seat properly. After the cylinder
has been in operation for a time, the bore finish will glaze over. When new seals are
installed, this bore must be honed to it's original finish in order to guarantee maximum
life of the new seals being installed |
|
 | Polishing -
This operation will remove any small nicks & scratches to provide a clean smooth
finish for the new rod seals to ride on. Polishing a rod will also reveal any areas where
the chrome plating is thin or worn off completely. Our polishing operation also checks
each rod for straightness.
|
|
 | Thread Torque -
This is a critical part of the overhaul process. Many cylinders in operation today, do not
use a seal between the piston and rod. These cylinders rely on extremely high assembly
torque to create a metal to metal seal between these parts. Proper torque should be a
common practice in any assembly process. |
|
 | Testing - Our
policy is to test all repairs 100%. This is the reason why we are confident enough to give
a Unique Warranty |
